Eku Malcolm - Club Director & Head Coach

Eku has been coaching since 2005 and will be returning to Dynamo for his eighth season. As an NCCP Level Three (Trained) coach, Eku has coached at a variety of levels including assistant coaching with the USports U of M Bisons; and head coaching at the CCAC level, age class programs at a variety of ages and with boys/girls at the high school level. In Sept 2022, Eku took over as the Club Director for Dynamo.

Eku’s style prioritizes fundamentals and commitment to teamwork and discipline and his success comes from the high standard he expects from his players. He is passionate about helping young athletes maximize their potential and is committed fully to his athletes in their development on and off the court. When not in a gym, Eku enjoys spending time with his wife and their pets.

 

Coaching Philosophy: “Promote the growth of exceptional volleyball players by maximizing their potential, encouraging a positive team dynamic and creating a coaching system based on fundamentals in which players understand how best to improve from a talent, mental and physical perspective. I strive to provide an environment that encourages fun while teaching the importance of leadership, teamwork, and competition, providing life lessons for athletes to take into their future endeavours.”
